From Pastor Stanley Allen
I would like to introduce myself; I am currently co-pastor for Faith Fellowship Church of Nolanville/Harker Heights. My family and I are from the East Texas area where we lived most of our lives. However, over the last twenty-three years we have traveled during my military service. We now make our home in Harker Heights and serve the communities of Nolanville and Harker Heights.
I was born in Richlands, Virginia and grew up in the Jewell Ridge, Virginia area. I graduated from Richlands High School, received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Education from Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, a Master of Religious Education and a Master of Divinity degree from Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas, a Master of Theology and a Doctorate of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, Missouri.
I began my military career in August 1972 serving with the 1st Infantry Divisions, Fort Riley, Kansas and the 8th Infantry Divisions, Baumholder, Germany. After completing my military service in August 1976, I moved to Grapeland, Texas. I met Deborah; we were married on 2 September 1977. After the wedding we moved to Atlanta, Georgia where we attended Beulah Heights Bible College. After earning my Bachelor degree, we moved back to Texas. While attending Seminary, I pastored churches in Huntsville, Austonio, and Groveton, Texas.
I served 24 years as a military chaplain beginning in January 1992. However, I entered active duty in January 1997 and assigned to the 44th Signal Battalion in Mannheim, Germany. Following assignments include the United States Army Confinement Facility in Mannheim, Germany, The 1st and 82nd FA, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, The 101st MI BN 1st Infantry Division, Wurzburg, Germany, Task Force Chaplain with the 40th Infantry Division Bosnia, 41st Fires BDE, Fort Hood, 162nd Infantry BDE, Fort Polk, the NATO Chaplain in Sembach, Germany, and I have recently retired as the Deputy Garrison Chaplain-Community Pastor, Fort Hood.
I am an ordained Southern Baptist minister; an endorsed chaplain by the North American Mission Board. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come and worship with us at Faith Fellowship. Please feel free to contact us at the church if we can serve you and your family. Our phone number is 254-350-7133, look forward to see you and your family soon.
